Her work has influenced major global events, such as the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Rio+20 Conference, as well as policies and methodologies that shape more welcoming and equitable cities.

Her commitment to accessibility extends beyond research and consultancy: as the coordinator of the Pro-Access Research Center at UFRJ, Regina develops innovative initiatives in architectural and urban planning education, earning international awards and recognition for the impact of her methodologies.
