As Human Beings, we are doomed to live in Society. This is not a burden, but recognize this fact matters disusably to understand that we are always in society, that is, sharing life with other beings, we are able to better evaluate our attitudes.
This is because when we do not take into account that other people’s daily lives can be impacted by our actions, we tend to care about the consequences of what we do. But in this path called living, every mistake matters.
To understand the importance of masterfully performing our daily tasks, every mistake matters; to evaluate the impact of what we do, every mistake matters; to no longer repeat the same erroneous patterns, every mistake matters.
And so society walks, making mistakes and getting it right, although it often doesn’t pay due attention to its mistakes, which is a waste of time and opportunities, since living provides countless chances to make mistakes, get it right, learn and repeat.
What does it take then to take advantage of these chances and learn from our mistakes? Nothing miraculous or distant. “Only” our Consciousness, and, consequently, all the combo of opportunities it brings with it, that is: attention, reason, understanding, charity and beyond.
This is because it is Conscious not to lose opportunities, either by providing remorse, after the perception of the error, or better yet, by understanding, after we turn our attention to the root of our mistake.
“Erring is human” – you may have heard that. But let’s agree that making mistakes is very little, after all, while we are still accepting our mistakes, we continue to waste time and opportunities, that is, wasting chances to do more and better for ourselves and society.
Making mistakes can even be human, but with Consciousness we are able to make our mistakes be of the human we were, not of the human we have conditions and are willing to be, either by ourselves or by society.
Consciousness: living well in society goes through here.
