The integration of architecture, accessibility, and longevity constitutes a structuring axis for the design of inclusive, safe, and sustainable built environments. Within the context of contemporary architecture, it is imperative to consider demographic transformations and user heterogeneity, incorporating accessibility as an inseparable principle of the design process. Spatial longevity, in turn, refers to the capacity of environments to ensure functionality, adaptability, and efficiency over time, in alignment with changes in users’ physical, sensory, cognitive and social conditions, thereby contributing to the promotion of quality of life and to the social and economic sustainability of buildings and cities.
