We are thrilled to welcome Alessandro Lopes, our newest columnist in the Smart Communication section! 💡🌍 An Architect and Strategic Consultant in BIM/CIM and Smart Cities, Alessandro’s career is marked by innovation and sustainability. He holds a Master’s in Environmental Law (UNISANTOS, 2022) with a focus on Creative and Smart Cities, and is the author of the dissertation “Creative Cities as a Strategy for the Development of Smart and Sustainable Cities: The Case of Santos – SP”.

🏗️🔍 With an MBA in Project Management and extensive experience in Project Management and Market Prospecting, Alessandro worked as an Architect at Grautec – Engenharia e Construções and ran his own practice. Currently, he serves as an Advisor at the Secretariat of Regional Prefectures of the Municipality of Santos, leading strategies for urban revitalization and waste management, fostering innovative and sustainable solutions for the city.

🌿🏙️ A BIM and Sustainability specialist, Alessandro is a member of the Brazilian BIM Chamber (CBIM) and a speaker at national and international conferences. He is also a commentator on Jovem Pan Litoral and ISFM TV radio stations and frequently appears on TV programs and podcasts discussing innovation in civil construction.

📚🎓 In academia, Alessandro is the Coordinator of the Architecture and Urbanism Course at ESAMC Santos, where he develops special engagement and belonging projects, strengthening the connection between education, industry, and innovation. He also teaches at ETECs Ruth Cardoso and Aristóteles Ferreira, training professionals in project management, economic planning, accessibility, and retrofit.

🏆🌎 His notable contributions include transforming the Customer Service sector into a Quality and Control Department, increasing efficiency and transparency. In addition, he develops projects to revitalize areas in Santos, Brazil, modernizing and enhancing the city’s public spaces.

Now, Alessandro brings his expertise to the Abayomi Academy Blog, where he will share insights on smart communication, urban innovation, and sustainability, writing in both Portuguese and English. 🚀✨
